Job description

Specialty: Cardiac Critical Care CICU APP (NP or PA)
Shift Details: Rotating, 7p-7a /7a-7p could be nights or days in a particular week. 3 shifts per week.
Work Details:
• Amount of coverage needed per month: 12 shifts per month (3 per week)
• Patients per night: Cardiac Surgery: 1-3 per day, Heart Attack patients 5, Nights: emergency patients very low, and issues w/ cardiac surgery patients (a couple per week)
• Patient population/age: 18+
• EMR: Cerner
• Hospital bed size: 480
• Are there procedures? Required: arterial catheter insertion and central line insertion.
• Skills required: Must be familiar w/ post-op cardiac surgery patient and ventilator management. Fresh post op, No Heart transplant patients. Do not need Vein harvesting exp. No OR time. MICU manages all medicine patient, SICU manages all surgical patients minus cardiac surgery, Neuro ICU patients are typically medical but there seems to be some changing in scope with that team to taking some from SICU.
