Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner to support a hospice program through an ongoing locum opportunity beginning February 2026 in Medford, OR. This opportunity is ideal for a Palliative Care NP seeking a full-time, mission-driven role with meaningful patient impact, collaborative support, and a structured weekday schedule with manageable call expectations.

Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call

Schedule Details:• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• On-site coverage: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch, taken flexibly)
• Weekday symptom management call: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM (beeper call)
• Potential weekend call: 8:00 AM – 8:00 AM

Average call expectation:

• 4 weeknight calls per month
• 1 weekend per month
  • Call schedule to be finalized once provider is confirmed
  • On-site hospice coverage with backup support for an additional location

Work Details:• Providers requested: 1
• Support staff available
• EMR: Epic
• Responsibilities include:

• Hospice admissions and recertification face-to-face visits
• Primary symptom management, including medication prescribing
• Close collaboration with RN partners to address patient needs

Requirements:• Board Certification: Required
• License: Active WA and OR NP licenses
• DEA: Active in WA and OR
• Certifications: BLS
